95bFM, NZ On Air Music, Bigpop Studios, Lume, & SAE Creative Media Institute Present
Fancy New Band
Friday 31 July at The Tuning Fork
We are always working hard to hunt down the fanciest new bands and this year we’ve caught some absolute doozies. So come celebrate this year's haul with us at the 95bFM Fancy New Band Showcase at The Tuning Fork!
95bFM has a long history of breaking emerging artists, with many acts from our Fancy New Band showcases getting booked nationally and internationally, as well as going on to become household names you know and love, including Fazerdaze, The Naked and Famous, Tiny Ruins, Kidz In Space, and Tom Lark, to name just a few.
This year, we look forward to introducing you to the following acts:
Forceful four piece Crook, delightful indie songstress Evie Bamford, punk adjacent art rock trio The Bright Ideas, and the energetic genre-defying septet Top Shelf.
Please note that there are no presale tickets for this showcase, but tickets will be available at the door in three different tiers: $10.00 (unwaged), $20.00 (waged), and the option to spend $21.00+ as a donation to the station to help us keep the lights on as we build a new station and move to Karangahape Road. Your donation will enable us to keep supporting fancy new bands and turning them into fancy household names!
This will also be the last day that 95bFM will be based on the University of Auckland campus before moving, so this Fancy New Band showcase will be our way to acknowledge this milestone, and celebrate our metamorphosis to Karangahape Road.
See you there!
