Mōrena, it's Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, so today's show is brimming with waita from Geneva Am, James Dansey and Bic Runga, tracks by APRA Maioha Award nominees like Marlon Williams, Rawhitiroa and Mā, and classics from Dame Hinewehi Mohi and Damn Native. Rāpare host Emma Gleason also tells you where you can see 75 years of Māori album covers.
Today's show explores some old faves from Toro y Moi, Jen Cloher and David Bowie – inspired by the opening of the Bowie Centre at the V&A museum in London, a 90,000-piece archive. We also get stuck into some new releases from Call Super, Cate Le Bon and Melody's Echo Chamber. Enjoy!

This friday on Fancy New Band we were very lucky to welcome in Just Janie Into the studio!
Just Janie is a Ōtutahi based indie-folk musician who has just realesed her debut album 'Mythology of the Girls'. During the segemt Janie explained that this is a concept album, "A reaction to nostalgia through a modern lens, the album pays homage to the folk scene of the late sixties and early seventies and deconstructs the rose tinted perspective for the era where women faced a myriad of societal limitations."
The songs Janie has written for this album are so well thought out and magical, this is a Fancy New Band you dont want to miss !
Very special bFM alumna Noelle McCarthy stops by the studio to reminisce and discuss her new book, Stakes, a memoir about Dracula and the secret to happiness. (The interview starts three minutes in, after the opening of 'Bela Lugosi's Dead'.)
