Elle spoke to Tom Dowse (guitar) and Nick Buxton (drums), of Dry Cleaning, ahead of their show at the Hollywood Avondale, on 3 June. Their recently released third album Secret Love, explores the quintessential Dry Cleaning sound and pushes it a bridge further. With Florence Shaw’s characteristically level and restrained vocal delivery accompanied by a narratively driven world of synths, guitar riffs and at times a saxophone.

Heading into Strange Universe Winter season, Milly from the 95bFM Breakfast show had a brief chat with American indie-rock singer Cass McCombs, who will be playing live in Tāmaki Makaurau on the 26th this month at Double Whammy.

Laika Rountree joined us for Stage Direction. This fortnight, she was laughing, she was crying, she was touched--suffice to say, there was a bunch of good stuff to see. She also played a snippet of her interview with Suzy Eddie Izzard. What a treat!

Professor Emeritus Peter Lineham’s phone was broken… but then it wasn’t. A miracle, perhaps?! This week’s That The Spirit topic: 100 years of the Bahá’í Faith in New Zealand.
