The Deputy is in for Bernie this week with tunes galore. More from the exquisite Anna Tivel and her Portland Oregon, Fluff & Gravy labelmate Jeffery Martin. The traditional Neil Young tune, this week from Rust Never Sleeps. Old School Willie, the murderous El Paso from Marty Robbins, a duet of Pancho & Lefty with Townes and Freddy Fender, good times with those ratbags The Hoodoo Gurus and The Johnnys. Jason Isbell, The Hangdogs, Cletus Got Shot, Shovels and Rope, the wonderful Eastern and heaps more.Yeeha.

Border Radio - Special Guests The Bads

Border Radio with The Bads Border Radio with The Bads, 167.17 MB
Sun 2 Jul 2017

Deputy Paul gets the late call up and has special guests Dianne and Brett from The Bads in the studio talking about their new album and upcoming shows. They play a song as well as choose a few tunes. There's a fair bit of excitement around Neil Young's Time Fades Away and Linda Rondstats BV's on Bite The Bullet. Deputy Paul doesn't back announce anything, but gives that beautiful Anna Tivel song another spin and if you listen to the end, you'll hear the wonderful Ian Morris (Tex Pistol) version of Daggy & The Dickheads' 'Winter'.

Thanks to the bro Hunter and Caitlin back at the ranch who found the missing last 15 minutes of the show we can update the podcast so you get to hear the Joe Pug song as well as Western Plaza's Mexican Girl. Before that Deputy Paul was playing epic Neil Young, some new tunes by the likes of The Teskey Brothers from Melbourne, we go down into the blues hole for a bit with John Lee, Elmore and Heart Attack Alley as well as fanging out a killer song, Two Pencils and a Photograph, by Anna Tivel. Have listen.
